Vinyasa Flow ~
Vinyasa (synchronized breath and movement) involves a series of flowing postures linked by the breath to stretch, detoxify, and strengthen the body and increase energy. Evening classes will start and end with a longer meditation.
Gentle ~
A great way to ease into yoga, Gentle Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that is a gentler, slower paced practice. Appropriate for people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels.
Hatha Flow/Iyengar ~
Breath-coordinated movements are introduced to warm up and stretch the body. Yoga poses are taught in a Iyengar yoga style, with particular emphasis on proper physical alignment and development of postures with the use of props. Perfect for both the new and experienced yoga practitioner.
POWER Yoga ~
A vigorous athletic approach to vinyasa style yoga. Some of the class is modeled after Ashtanga yoga. Unlike Ashtanga, power yoga does not follow a set series of poses and each class sequence varies from the next class. There is an emphasis on strength and flexibility and the class is HOT to release toxins and for safety in stretching. Options will be given throughout class to accommodate beginners as well as advanced students. What is most important is finding one's joy.
Yoga Basics ~
Learn the fundamentals of yoga with other newcomers and practice in a safe, supportive environment. The focus will be on alignment with instruction given with each pose. There will be time for all your questions. So, come, de-stress, and have some fun!
